Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Komunti. By creating an account or joining a community you agree to them.

What Komunti does, and what it does not

Komunti is operated by Komu Inc., a United States company ("Komunti", "we", "us"). Komunti operates the platform: the software, the hosting, the payment collection and the payouts. It does not write, own, review or endorse what a creator publishes inside their community. The creator sets their community's own rules, decides who may join, and is responsible for what is taught, posted and promised in it.

Your account

You need an account to join a community. Give accurate information, keep your credentials to yourself, and do not share one account between several people. You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live; if you are under that age, you may only use Komunti with a parent or guardian's consent. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

Paid memberships

A paid membership is a subscription. The price and the renewal period are shown before you pay, and the subscription renews automatically at that price until you stop it. All prices are stated in US dollars. If a creator changes the price, the change applies to renewals after you have been told, never retroactively to a cycle you have already paid for.

Free trials

Where a creator offers a trial, a payment method is collected when the trial starts and nothing is charged during it. At the end of the trial the subscription begins and the first charge is taken, unless you cancel before then. A member may take one trial per community.

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the community's Billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the cycle you have already paid for, and it is reversible until that cycle ends. Cancelling is not the same as a refund — refunds are covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give Komunti the permission it needs to host, store, copy and display your content inside the product so that the community can see it, and you give the creator and the other members of that community the access the community itself implies. You confirm you have the right to post what you post.

What is not allowed

Do not post anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive or abusive; do not harass other members; do not send spam or scrape the platform; do not attempt to break, overload or work around the payment, access-control or security systems; and do not resell or redistribute a community's paid content to people who have not paid for it.

Moderation and suspension

A creator moderates their own community: they can remove a post, remove a member, or ban a member from rejoining. Komunti can suspend an account or an entire community when these terms are broken. A suspension removes the ability to act — posting, commenting, chatting and managing all stop — but it does not take away access you have already paid for: you keep read access for the cycle you paid for. Suspending a community also stops billing its paying members from the end of their current cycle onward; it does not automatically refund them.

If you run a community

You set your own price and are responsible for delivering what you advertise. Payouts are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect, and by receiving them you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/connect-account/legal). To receive money you must complete identity and bank verification with Stripe; until that is complete, payouts are held, not lost. Komunti deducts its commission and any payment-processing costs and transfers the remainder to you on a regular cycle. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.

Ending your use

You may stop using Komunti at any time; cancel any paid membership first so it does not renew. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. If we close a paid account other than for a breach by you, we refund the unused part of the cycle you had paid for.

Availability and changes

Komunti is provided as it is. We add, change and remove features, and the service will sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not promise that any particular feature will exist forever, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Komunti is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and is not responsible for what a creator or another member does. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and we tell members in advance about a change that materially affects them. Continuing to use Komunti after a change means you accept it.
